The Indian state, Telangana has launched Women Entrepreneurship Hub (WE- Hub) in Hyderabad on 8th March 2018 on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.
WE-Hub is India’s first state-led incubator especially only for women entrepreneurs.
WE-Hub incubator will help women entrepreneurs all types of startups, to establish their own enterprises by providing services including seed funding, mentoring, and business guidance.
Telangana State, Former Director for Electronics Promotion, Deepthi Ravula has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of WE-Hub incubator.
WE-Hub incubator got opened on 9th March 2018, to invite applications for its first batch on its website www.wehub.telangana.gov.in and will close on 31st March 2018.
WE-Hub incubator at present is located at the office of T-SAT (on the temporary basis) in the campus of BR Ambedkar University in Hyderabad with 100 seats. It will be soon shifted to the Phase 2 of T-Hub, which is currently under construction.
WE-Hub incubator was launched by India’s missile woman Tessy Thomas and Vani Kola, Managing Director of Kalaari Capital, in the presence of Telangana State, IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.
Minister KT Rama Rao informed that the Telangana government has allocated a fund of Rs 15 crore for the WE-Hub incubator.
