Ahmedabad and Indore won National Tourism Award for Best Airport of 2016-17

 

 

National Tourism Awards 2016-17 bagged by Ahmedabad and Indore Airport on World Tourism Day

India's Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport and Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad are considered as the best airports in the country in different categories.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the National Tourism Award, 2016-17, organized by the Union Tourism Minister, Independent Charge, Mr. KJ Alphons, presented awards to these two airports.

Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International Airport got the BEST airport award in the airports of the big cities of the country, while Indore airport was considered as the best airport in the other categories of airports in the promotion of tourism. |

Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport is one of the busiest airports in Madhya Pradesh, which is separate from air connectivity from major cities of the country. World-class facilities have been provided at the Airport Terminal Building.

Indore Airport has received the Best Regional Airport Award in the category of airports in the Asia-Pacific region with annual traffic of 20 lakh passengers per year.

These awards are given to state governments / UTs, classified hotels, heritage hotels, registered travel agents, tour operators and tourist transport operators, individuals and other private organizations to promote outstanding performance and healthy competition in their respective areas.
