Red Card entry in International Cricket to ensure high level of discipline amid players present at the ground within the boundary
Like football and hockey, Cricket has adopted Red Card system to ensure the highest level of discipline amid players on the field.
The ever use of Red Card system starting with South Africa and Bangladesh (SA vs BAN) test match starting from 28th September 2017 at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom North West Province, South Africa.
As per Red Card rule, any player found guilty of bad behavior on the ground will be suspended for rest of the session of the play.
Offences list for Red Card
- Player who give threat to umpire during the match, umpire has right to show the red card
- Any player who showcases offensive behavior (physical assault) with opponent or fellow player of his team may be considered for Red Card
Red Card system has been adopted in all forms of cricket sport test matches, One Day International matches and T20 matches.
