17 July: World Emoji Day 2019 Observed Details, Aim, Significance

World Emoji Day is celebrated every year on 17 July around the world to celebrate the usefulness of 'Emoji' on social media by people.

World Emoji Day is deemed a "global celebration of emoji and is celebrated with emoji events and product releases.

World Emoji Day was first celebrated in the year 2014, since then it's been celebrated every year.

World Emoji Day is the brainchild of Jeremy Burge, the "London-based founder of Emojipedia who created it in 2014.

On the occasion of the World Emoji Day 2019, Apple and Google have revealed their plans to introduce brand-new emoji characters later this year in 2019. It includes Indian Sari and among a new set of emojis that includes a one-piece swimsuit, swim shorts, and safety vests.

Shigetaka Kurita is the man from Japan who invented emoji in the year 1999.

Emoji are commonly used on social media platforms all over the world to express one's feeling about the post.
