GSAT 11 Heaviest Satellite Of India Launched Important Highlights And Keypoints

GSAT 11 Features, Role in Internet COverage across India, Weight, Specifications

The most saturated satellite GSAT-11 was launched. This satellite of 5,854 kilograms was launched from the European Space Agency French Guiana in the morning. It is a communication satellite, which will help increase the speed of internet in the country. This satellite is so large that every solar panel is more than four meters long, which is equivalent to a large room.

Earlier this satellite was being launched at the beginning of this year, but due to technical shortcomings in the system, the Indian Space Agency sent it back in April from French Guyana to check it. This decision was taken even after considering the failure of the GSAT-6A. In fact, the GSAT-6A was uncontrolled around April and the communication broke down immediately after its launch on March 29. In such a case, it was decided not to launch GSAT-11 at that time. GSAT-11 has been launched after several types of testing and investigation.

This satellite is being called a game changer for Internet connectivity. After starting the work of this satellite, there will be a revolution in Internet speed in the country. GSAT-11 will provide broadband connectivity up to 100 gigabytes per second. GSAT-11 has 40 transponders in Ku-band and Ka-Band frequency. High bandwidth connectivity with 14 gigabytes / second data transfer speed is possible.

The special feature of Satelite is that it is capable of using beams many times, which will cover the geographical area of the entire country. Earlier the satellites were launched in which broad single beams were used, which were not so powerful that they could cover a large area. GSAT-11 has four high-capacity throttle satellites, which will provide broadband connectivity of more than 100 gigabytes per second in the country from next year. This satellite is a significant step in terms of internet revolution in rural India.
