EPFO launched ‘View Pension Passbook’ Service For Pensioners Through UMANG App- Details, Features, How to Use, About

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has now initiated a new service of ‘View Pension Passbook’ through UMANG app. 

Steps To Follow In Umang App:

Click on ‘View Passbook’ option, you as a, pensioner need to enter PPO Number and Date of Birth information.

After successful validation of the information given, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

By entering OTP, ‘Pensioner Passbook’ will display your Name, DOB along with the last pension credited information.  This facility will ensure downloading the financial year wise complete pass book details.

About Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)

EPFO is a statutory body of Union Government that works under the shield of Ministry of Labour and Employment. It is headquartered in New Delhi.

EPFO provides a host of e-services for its stakeholders. It administers a compulsory contributory Provident Fund Scheme (1952), Pension Scheme (1995) and Insurance Scheme (1976).

EPFO is one of the largest social security organisations in India in terms volume of financial transactions undertaken and a number of covered beneficiaries.

UMANG App

The term UMANG stands for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance.

UMANG App was launched to promote Digital India program and to drive mobile e-governance in India.

UMANG App was developed by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD).

UMANG App is a single mobile app that has access to 1200 services of various Indian government offices, State and utility services.

UMANG App supports 13 Indian languages and caters to on-demand scalability. It provides all pan India e-Governance services like Aadhaar, PAN, booking gas cylinder, PF account and Digilocker on one single platform.
