Government has launched Divyang Sarathi app the accessible and comprehensive mobile application for easy dissemination of information
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched Divyang Sarathi the assessable and comprehensive mobile application for easy dissemination of information to ‘Divyangs’
The mobile apps aim to empower divyangjans by proving them easier and convenient access to information pertaining to schemes, scholarships, states, institutional support system, jobs and other crucial information.
Objective and feature of this mobile apps
- The Mobile apps are an integral part of ICT component of Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) which has launched in 2015.
- It compliant with principles of UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities for Universal access and provision of the right of persons with disabilities act, 2016 which mandates that all information be made available in the accessible form.
- The app has the inbuilt unique feature of audio notes (text-to-voice conversion software) which converts written information into the audio file along with adjustable font size which can be per user’s requirement.
- The app has also been developed bilingually that is information is available in Hindi along with English
