Tata Power: 100 MW solar power plant, Renewable Energy, Raghanesda Solar Park
In Gujarat, Tata Power Renewable Energy has completed a 100 MW solar power project
A 100-MW solar power plant was successfully commissioned at Raghanesda Solar Park in Gujarat by Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power. This project is important for TPREL since in its first year of operation the 100MW plant anticipated to generate 255 million units.
Following are some key points about Tata Power plant:
Each year, 200 000 tonnes of carbon emissions are saved in the system.
One of the country's largest solar parks is Raghanesda Solar Park, in Gujarate's Banaskantha district.
The project was granted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL).
Total installed capacities of TPREL, which include 1.865 mw solar and 932 mw wind, will rise by 100 Mw to 2.797 mw.
It is now working on additional 1,234 MW of renewable energy projects.
