Every year on the 24th of October, World Development Information Day is commemorated to attract global attention to development issues and the need to improve international collaboration to address them.
History Of The Day
the United Nations General Assembly established World Development Information Day in 1972 to raise global awareness of development issues and the need to increase international collaboration to address them. The Assembly agreed that the Day would be celebrated on October 24, United Nations Day, which was also the date of the adoption of the International Development Strategy for the Second United Nations Development Programme in 1970.
