Vigilance Awareness Week 2018 From 29th October: Theme, Details, Aim, Activities, History

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week 2018, from 29th October 2018 to 3rd November 2018.

The Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year during the week in which birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31st October) comes. 

The theme of Vigilance Awareness Week-2018 is Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India (in English) which means भ्रष्टाचार मिटाओ- नयाभारत बनाओ (in Hindi).

On the Vigilance Awareness Week-2018, several outreach activities will take place that aims to motivate stakeholders to participate in the fight against corruption collectively and also aims at raising public awareness regarding the detrimental consequences of corruption.

CVC has also requested all Central Government Ministries/Organisations to conduct activities relevant to the theme both in and outside the government institutions

One of the highlights of the week will be the establishment of Integrity Clubs in the schools and colleges to cultivate ethical values in the leaders of tomorrow.

Awareness Gram Sabhas with an objective of Awareness, Gram Sabhas will aware the rural citizens about the ill-effects of corruption.
