Union Ministry of Railways recently on 2nd November 2018, unveiled the ‘Unreserved Mobile Ticketing’ facility (UTS on Mobile) in order to provide endless booking of unreserved tickets all over Indian Railways.
By 'UTS on Mobile' initiative, the need for passengers to wait in queue-lines for purchasing the unreserved season tickets and platform tickets will be eliminated.
With this 'UTS on Mobile' initiative, the booking of unreserved tickets on all non-suburban sections across all Zonal Railways will now be made available on mobile from November 1, 2018.
The 'UTS on Mobile' initiative aims to leverage 3 'C':
1. Cashless transactions (Digital payment- Environment-friendly)
2. Contact-less ticketing (no need to physically visit the point of sale)
3. Customer convenience and experience
Download ‘UTSONMOBILE’ application, available for Android, IOS and Windows phone users.
Registration by mentioning the mandatory details.
User-ID and Password generated through which the user can log-in and book a ticket
Payment modes available are R-Wallet, Debit card, Credit card, Net-banking, UPI and other e-wallets.
