World Veterinarian Day is celebrated every year on the last Saturday of April around the world to promote the importance of vet for your pet. This year in 2019, it is on 27th April 2019.

World Veterinarian Day-2019, the theme is the "Value of Vaccination."

World Veterinary Association (WVA) has also established the World Veterinary Day Award for the best contribution on the annual theme by a WVA member association working alone or with other groups.
World Veterinarian Day was created in 2000 by the World Veterinary Association (WVA) to highlight and promote the lifesaving work performed by veterinarians around the globe.
