FIFA U-17 World Cup kicks off on 6 October 2017 in Delhi and Mumbai at the same time. India is participating the first time in Fifa U-17 World Cup
The much-awaited the Federation International De Football Association U-17 World Cup kicks off on 6 October 2017 with four opening day matches to be played in Delhi and Mumbai at the same time.
While Colombia and Ghana would be the first teams to play the inaugural match at Delhi’s Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, hosts India would be taking on team USA in the second match.
In Mumbai, the matches would be played at DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai. First New Zealand would be taking on Turkey then Paraguay would be playing against Mali.
This is the first time that India is participating in a FIFA World Cup.
FIFA U-17 World Cup is not having an Opening Ceremony to focus more on the sport than such one-time shows.
The first-ever FIFA event in India, FIFA U-17 World Cup will be played in six cities - New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kochi and Margao from October 6th to 28th, 2017.
