UK-India Tech Alliance Launched By NASSCOM And Tech UK- Details, Features, Purpose

PM Narendra Modi on the second leg of his tour, reached London, UK where he attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and met Britain's Prime Minister, Theresa May on 19th April 2018.

India and UK have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a new UK-India Tech Alliance on 19th April 2018.

The UK-India Tech Alliance will be set up by India’s NASSCOM (National Association of Software & Services Companies) and Tech UK.

The UK-India Tech Alliance will facilitate collaboration on building future skills in new technologies by nurturing a solid skills base in the UK and India, with the support of both the governments.

The UK-India Tech Alliance will be composed of high-level stakeholders from the technology industry in the United Kingdom and India. It will also assist the governments of UK and India to develop policy in relevant areas by providing a forum for regular dialogue and the exchange of ideas, discuss concerns pertaining to the growth of the sector including, but not limited to skills, new technologies and migration.

Under the MoU, both the organisations of India-UK will exchange knowledge and learn lessons from FutureSkills initiative launched by NASSCOM explore the expansion of FutureSkills platform, work together to strengthen people-to-people (P2P) and business-to-business (B2B) links between India and UK.
