India and World Expo 2020 Signed Participants’ MoU- Details, Features, Purpose

India and World Expo 2020 signed participants’ contract for India’s engagement in the prestigious World Expo 2020 held once in 5 years on 10th April 2018 in Dubai.

The World Expo 2020 is scheduled to be held in Dubai, UAE between 20 October 2020 and 10 April 2021.

The participants’ contract was signed by Union Ministry of Commerce, Joint Secretary Manoj K. Dwivedi, and Mr. Najeeb Mohammed Al Ali, Executive Director, Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau.

The participants’ contract caters for the setting up of India pavilion at Expo 2020 on an extra large plot (about one acre) in the ‘Opportunity’ segment.

This is tune with the great opportunity for economic activity that India provides today on the way to becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2025.  

The Indian pavilion at Expo 2020 will showcase the economic activity that India provides today, on the way to becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2025.

India will chiefly focus in India’s advance field such as Space, Pharma, IT, Renewable Energy, Telecom sectors and ambitious programmes like Make in India, Smart Cities, Digital India, Start Up India, Housing for All, Universal Health cover and infrastructure projects provide unparalleled investment opportunities in India.

India’s pavilion will be developed in public-private partnership mode. Leading industries and businesses will work with Central government and State governments to participate in India’s pavilion.

India's participation in World Expo 2020 is reflective of the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and UAE.
