Smriti Irani Launched India-2018 and Bharat-2018 Book- Details, Content, Purpose
Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Smriti Irani launched the release of 'India 2018' and 'Bharat 2018' books on 27th February 2018 in New Delhi.
The book 'India 2018' comes in the English version and 'Bharat 2018' in Hindi version.
The books are published by the Ministry’s Publications Division. The books are both available in printed and online e-version.
The books represent the annual government publication on its policies, schemes and development programmes.
Smriti Irani, on the occasion, appreciated and thanked the efforts of Publications Division for meeting the international standards of books published and for understanding the needs of the students and coming up with the e-version of the reference book.
Smriti Irani informed that it is an exhaustive publication dealing with all aspects of the country's development from Rural to Urban, Industry to Infrastructure, science and technology to Human Resources Development, Art and Culture, Polity, Economy, Health, Defence, Education and Mass Communication.
The book will be useful as a reference manual for administration context and also for researchers and student community.
The book with its latest edition has entered into its 62nd year of publication.
