First rail and transport university started in Vadodara, Gujarat

 

 

The first rail university will help to encourage government schemes like 'Start-up India' and 'Skill India'

The country's first National Rail and Transport University, built in Vadodara of Gujarat, has started working. On September 5, 2018, the first railway university of India was started in Vadodara in Gujarat on Teachers Day.
At present, the Indian Railways in Vadodara is working only with the National Academy. Working with foreign partners such as California, Berkeley and Cornell University, this railway university has just started two graduate programs.

This program is BSc Transportation Technology and BBA Transportation Management. There are 50 students in every course.
The university has been established as a recognized university under the UGC's Novo Division (Honored University Institute) Regulation, 2016.
The university will take the Indian Railways on the path of modernization and by encouraging productivity and encouraging 'Make in India', it will be helpful in making India a global leader in the transport sector.

The University will build a pool of skilled manpower resources and take advantage of state-of-the-art technology to provide better security, speed, and service in Indian Railways.
By activating the University technology and providing technology, support will be given to 'Start-Up India' and 'Skil India' and provide employment opportunities at large level along with promoting entrepreneurship. This will change the railway and transport sector and the movement of people and goods will accelerate.
