Insult to National Flag to be sentenced to 3 years of jail or fine

A section in fundamental rights in the Constitution states to follow all the rights and duties that are listed in the constitution.

The citizens of India need to respect the National Flag and insult in any manner will be sentenced to 3 years of jail.

Disrespect of National Flag to be charged under National Honour Act, 1971

Under National Honour Act, 1971 the insult in any kind to the National flag will be charged with fine or sentenced to 3 years of jail or both will be sentenced.

The insult to National flag includes burning, spoil, disfigure, blasting or any other way which is a sort of disrespect will be charged.

It is offensive to use Indian flags in clothing or for decoration but the state funeral and burial of the defence and security personnel associated is the exemption of the rule.
