Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launches Haritha Keralam Mission for waste management
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launches Haritha Keralam Mission on Thursday for utilisation of opportunities through waste management, water resources and agricultural development.
Haritha Keralam Mission is a state level programme for creating development by maximum utilisation of resources.
Haritha Keralam Mission to remove waste from water bodies, increase area of cultivation
Haritha Keralam mission aims to clear and remove waste from all the water bodies of the state and ensures disposal of waste water and take measures to increase the area of cultivation.
A state level task force will look into the mission and the district collectors will check that the mission is taken at grassroot level and people are involved for its success.
Pinarayi has also asked the district collectors to seek support for educational institutions, NGOs and industries.
The government will also take various programmes that is cleaning of vacant lands which will be used for cultivation, waste management project etc.
