BEML unveils India’s first 205T electric drive rear dump truck ‘BHQOSE’: Details, Features, Purpose, Highlights

India’s first-ever 205T Electric Drive Rear Dump Truck (Model BH205-E), designed and developed by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) was unveiled recently.

The dump truck 'BHQOSE' has been developed for use in the project of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. It will also help to address the growing demand for higher capacity equipment in mining industry.

The dump truck BHQOSE 'Model: BH205E' is electric drive rear dump truck for large-scale mining operations. It has been indigenously designed and developed by Mysuru plant of BEML to reinforce ‘Make in India’ initiative and address growing demand for higher capacity equipment in the mining industry.

The dump truck 'BHQOSE'  is powered by Tier II emission compliant Modular Common Rail Electronic Engine with 2300 HP capacity. It has an AC drive system to provide exceptional haul road performance with reduced maintenance.

The dump truck 'BHQOSE' weighs 335 tonnes when fully loaded. It is easily maneuverable with power-steering and short turning radius. It has ergonomically designed dashboard and tiltable telescopic steering wheel.

The dump truck 'BHQOSE' important features also include good visibility in addition to safety with provisions for emergency steering, breaking and proximity warning.

Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML)

BEML is public sector undertaking under the Union Ministry of Defence. It manufactures a variety of heavy equipment, such as that used for earth moving, transport and mining.

BEML was incorporated in May 1964. It is headquartered in Bengaluru.

BEML is Asia’s second-largest manufacturer of earth moving equipment, and it controls 70% of India’s market in that sector.
