India and Bangladesh Signed 7 Agreements, Jointly Inaugurated 3 New Projects: Details, Aim, Significance

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on 5th October 2019, held bilateral discussions on all aspects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional issues in New Delhi.

India and Bangladesh PMs exchanged 7 key agreements in areas including

  1. Water resources
  2. Youth Affairs
  3. Culture
  4. Education
  5. Coastal Surveillance
  6. Connectivity
  7. Trade

PM Narendra Modi and PM Sheikh Hasina also inaugurated three projects through video conferencing as follows:

  1. Import of bulk LPG from Bangladesh
  2. Inauguration of the Vivekananda Bhavan at Ramakrishna Mission in Dhaka.
  3. Inauguration of the Bangladesh-India Professional Skill Development Institute, a facility to benefit small and medium enterprises at the Institute of Diploma Engineers.
