Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) contract from Indian Navy for LRSAM: Cost & Delivery

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has received an agreement to make long-range surface-to-air missile (LRSAM) for the Indian Navy on 05 September 2018.

The cost of this agreement with BEL is 9,200 million rupees. This agreement with BEL has happened with the Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE).

Missiles (LRSAM) created by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will be deployed on seven naval vessels. This is the largest agreement by BEL.

India Sun Defense for completing specific challenging requirements of the military sector in 1954 went to its establishment under the Ministry.

BEL, who is a key developer of the sky missile, has shown its potential in the turnkey missile system.

India's first LRSAM system was developed through a joint venture between DRDO and Israeli IAI. LRSAM is an advanced missile defense armor against air targets and missiles.

It has full capacity to monitor air and surface monitoring, warning of danger and fire control. Flight speed of missiles can be tracked by detecting radars and electrical-optical systems installed in the ITR.

With this agreement, BEL will be constructing the Quick Response System Missile (QRSAM) for the Army, Medium Range Surface Missile (MRSAM) for the Air Force and the Long Range Surface for the Air Missile (LRSAM) Navy.
