Location: The airport is spread over 201 acres and Pakyong Greenfield Airport is built at a height of 4500 feet.

Strategic location: It is about 60 km from the Indo-China border and about 30 km from the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok.

Strategic relevance: This airport will make the life of the people of Sikkim easier. The government has tried to get the information from the airport to be accessible to the general public, so it was linked to the flight plan. In the coming days, after the construction of another bar of 75 meters next to the main runway, the Indian Air Force will be able to fly a variety of aircraft at this airport.

Runway width: Airport runway is 1.75 meters, with a width of 30 meters.

Time of travel: Beginning of the flight operations from this airport, tourists will not have to travel for four or five hours after landing at the nearest Bagdogra airport.

Passenger capacity: It has a 116-meter taxiway with its 1.75-meter long runway, which allows two aircraft at the same time to be aired. The capacity of the airport is of a hundred passengers.

Connectivity: The construction of this airport will boost Sikkim's tourism, economic development.
