James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Features, Aim, Objectives, Purpose, Advantages in Astronomy, Achievements

James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) equipped with sensitive types of equipment that can study starlight passing through exoplanets atmosphere helping it to detect water on the planet it detect.

JWST capable to find a penny as far as 40 kilometers or a football from 550 kilometers. It has a precision of 0.1 arcseconds resolution.

JWST is 7 times more capable and powerful in collecting valuable space data from astronomical bodies and planetary systems.

JWST is designed to investigate the first light of the universe. JWST will help to explore the era when the universe is not understood just after the big bang. The infrared equipment on the telescope will help to explore the era of first light born in the universe.

JWST is built to be launched in the compact size and getting unfold in the space during its automated installation operation at L2 (Lagrange 2) point in the space.

JWST will have a great temperature variation on its two sides in the space. JWST is built to cope with this temperature difference in the hostile space environment. JWST sun-facing side temperature will reach up to 85-degree Celsius while the other side which houses the mirrors and science instruments will operate a temperature nippier -233 degree Celsius.
