INS Khanderi second scorpene class submarine of Indian Navy launched under Make In India, special features, capabilities detail in war
The Second Scorpene class submarine INS Khanderi launched in Mumbai on Thursday at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders limited.
The submarine will undergo trails before it is introduced to Indian Navy.
INS Khanderi has been encrypted with all means of communication to ensure the interoperability of the Naval Task Force.
INS Khanderi has been designed that works on all threats including tropics
INS Khaderi can undertake various missions including anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, mine laying, intelligence gathering and area surveillance.
It has a special feature which allows to attack with torpedoes, anti-ship missile which can be attacked underwater or on surface.
INS Khanderi has been derived from the Maratha forces which played an important role in power at sea in the 17th century.
