Ministry of Railways have organised 17th National Rail Transport Conclave on ‘Challenged and Strategies for Indian Railways in the Emerging Economic Scenario’
Chief Economic Advisor, Arvind Subhramanian conducted the inaugural session and stated of economic measures taken by the Government, Indian Economy and Indian Railways.
Conference was organised by Ministry of Railways in collaboration with Centre for Transportation Research and Management
The conference aims to focus on key structures of Indian railways and infrastructure Sectors to collaborate towards attaining accelerated economic growth of the country
The member traffic of Railway Board, Mohd. Jamshed described the three strategies laid down by the Government that are expanding the freight basket of IR, Rationalizing the traffic structure and building capacity to improve the modal share of Indian Railways.
