The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRD0) on 11th March 2019, has successfully test fired the Pinaka Guided Weapon Rocket System from Pokhran range in Rajasthan.
The Pinaka Guided Weapon Rocket System is indigenously developed by DRDO, with an aim to boost the artillery capability of the Indian Army to make accurate hit.
The Pinaka Guided Weapon Rocket System is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance kit comprising of an advanced navigation and control system.
The Pinaka Guided Weapon Rocket System impacted the intended targets with high precision and achieved desired accuracies.
As per the Defence Ministry, Pinaka Guided Weapon Rocket System telemetry Systems tracked and monitored the vehicle all through the flight path and all the mission objectives have been met while testing.
