PM CARES: Inauguration of DRDO's 500 BED Hospital in Patna Facility, Features
Ministry of Defence founded the Hospital of 500 BED Inaugurated in Patna. what are the Facility and Features Provided from PM CARES Fund?
Shri Nityanand Rai, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, opened today a 500-bed COVID Hospital with 125 ICU beds founded by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in Patna. The hospital in Bihta was built on the lines of the DRDO 1000 bed Sardar Sardar Patel Hospital in Delhi Cantt, which has been neighboring the newly constructed ESIC Hospital.
The PM CARES Trust has provided funding for the hospital built by DRDO to Support in Fight Against Corona. In Muzaffarpur, there will be one another such hospital build by the DRDO.
Facilities and Features:-
- ESIC hospital with electricity, air conditioning, water supply, fire fighting, and diesel generator support, oxygen piping into each bed, lifts, and morgue are all part of the hospital facilities. These are available at all 7 story building.
- DRDO has provided hospital infrastructures such as a doctor's chamber, triage area, guests' area, and reception area, the ICU's fan beds with ventilator and monitors: 125 Nos, the standard beds: 375 Nos.,
- The 10 KL Cryogenic Liquid Medical Oxygen Vessel, oxygen supply to any bed, the PPE Kits, and sanitizers; the CCTV surveillance system.
- Housekeeping facilities include consumables; medications, medical pathology labs, catering services, laundry services, emergency services, computerized hospital control systems, professional department operators, electrical equipment, air conditioning systems, DG packages, etc. services.
