Argentina ranked at the top position being at the top of FIFA team ranking 2016
At the end of 2016, Argentina is at the top of FIFA Ranking making the team as ‘FIFA Team of the year 2016’.
Argentina lost the chile in the final of Copa America Centenario and was the runner-up in the Copa America and the World Cup two years before and has replaced Belgium.

Last year Belgium was at the top of the list in 2015 and has been now dropped down at the fourth position while Brazil is at the second position.
Germany secures at the third position, Belgium at the fourth position and Chile at the fifith position.
Argentina won 10 out of five matches with one of their three losses coming in the continental showpiece on penalties in Chile in June.
