A museum on the Prime Ministers of India at Teen Murti Complex, New Delhi Hisotry, Architecture, Features
Union Culture Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri laid the foundation stone of the proposed museum on Teen Murti Bhavan in New Delhi on October 15, 2018.
It has been decided to set up a "museum on Prime Ministers of India" under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, in 23 Acres of the three Statue Estates. The built area of the museum building complex will be 10975.36 square meters, with basements, ground floor and first floor with galleries at all levels at a cost of Rs. 271 crores.
The museum will be an institute where incoming people will be able to get information about the Prime Minister's Office, its emergence, role and role of governance at the Central level, along with information about each Prime Minister.
This museum will provide information to young people of India and others through modern audiovisual technology. The design of the proposed museum will be a symbol of India, which has been shaped by its well-known leaders over the years.
The proposed museum will be devoted to all the Prime Ministers of India and will help facilitators understand the leadership, their initiatives and their order of sacrifice, after shaping the country after Independence.
The proposed museum will describe modern India through its important contribution towards the building, its life, work and nation-building associated with every Prime Minister of India.
It will give a vibrant description of India's democratic experience. This will encourage curiosity and research about the role of the Prime Minister and his office.
The proposed museum will have an installation site, souvenir shop, meeting place/seminar hall, auditorium, workshop area, library, room to keep documents, laboratory, and archives area for conducting talks and discussions.
