Indian PM Narendra Modi becomes the first Prime Minister to take off with indigenous twin-seater fighter plane Tejas

Honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has become the first Prime Minister of a democratic socialist secular republican sovereign nation, he made a successful journey by flying India's indigenous fighter aircraft Tejas today on 25 November 2023.

While sharing his thoughts on his social media account, the Prime Minister wrote, "Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas. The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country's indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential."

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) handed over the Tejas fighter aircraft capable of flying twin seaters to the Indian Air Force on 4 October 2023. Today the Honorable Prime Minister has created history by flying in an indigenous fighter aircraft.

Tejas fighter aircraft is included in the fourth to advanced generation fighter aircraft of the medium fighter category of the Indian Air Force as a multirole fighter aircraft.
