Ministry of Culture Dr. Mahesh Sharma has held three-day long diversified cultural carnival third Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 7th to 9th October 2017 in India’s first world Heritage City (Ahmedabad, Gujarat).
The festival was inaugurated by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Shri Gautam Shah, Mayor, Ahmedabad and Dr.Kirit Solanki.
Previously, the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav was conceived by the Ministry of Culture in the year 2015, after the grand success of the First Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav in November-2015.
In the inaugural day, the soulful performances such as Pandvani by Teejan Bai and Vedic chants and Bhajans by Krishna Kant Shukla and fusion performances of more than 150 folk artists, highlighting different dance forms including folk and tribal.
The celebrated festival will continue to connect people of Ahmedabad with India’s rich culture till 9th October 2017.
The same folk dances will be presented in the four cities of Gujarat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Somnath, and Dwarka from 10th to 13th October 2017.
