Kalraj Mishra is the new Governor of Rajasthan: Details, Political Career, Highlights

President of India Ram Nath Kovind, has appointed Kalraj Mishra as the Governor of Rajasthan on 1st September 2019.

Kalraj Mishra will replace 'Kalyan Singh' who was the Governor of Rajasthan since 2014.

Kalraj Mishra prior to this appointment served as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh since July 2015.

Kalraj Mishra had resigned from the Narendra Modi-led government as Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (independent charge) in 2017 after he crossed the age of 75. He had not contested the last held Lok Sabha elections.

Kalraj Mishra in 2014 became MP from Deoria constituency and later appointed as Cabinet Minister in the Modi government.

Kalraj Mishra is former MP  of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the BJP-led NDA government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kalraj Mishra was a member of Parliament from Deoria constituency in Uttar Pradesh from 2014 to 2019.

Kalraj Mishra (78-years-old) was born on 1 July 1941 (age 78) Saidpur, United Provinces, British India. He received an M.A. degree from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi.
