Russia to replace RS36 with Satan-2 aka RS-Sarmat Nuclear Missile

 

 

Russia firm to replace ICBM (Inter Continental Ballistic Missile) RS-36 with more deadly nuclear missile RS-Sarmat also known as Satan-2

This new super heavy thermonuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) which is capable of targeting major cities of UK and other European Nations.

The RS-Sarmat will replace the Rs-36 which started in the year 1970 which is the family of ICBMs.

Expected to launched by the year 2020

This missile is expected to be launched by 2020 and will carry up to 10 heavy warheads or 16 lighter ones or the combination of both.

It will also serve as counter measures to overpower the enemy missile defences.

It has been designed with stealth technology which can be fired at a target without being detected by enemy radars.

It has an estimated range of about 10,000 kilometres.

It can deliver warheads 2,000 times as powerful as the atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

Rs-Saramat has the speed of about 7 km per second.
