United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO is the responsible body behind the celebration of every 3rd Thursday of November as World Philosophy Day.
In the year 2005, UNESCO General Conference decided to celebrate every year 3rd Thursday of November to highlight the importance of philosophy in cultures, communities across the globe.
World Philosophy Day has the aim to underline the importance of teaching the goodness of Philosophy to the future generations.
UNESCO commitment towards spreading the message across the globe for the noble cause of philosophy in academics and cultures serving its purpose from the day of its inception in the year 2005.
