The Ministry of Railways is working on Paytm, Jio Money, Airtel wallet and other e-wallet to book tickets for the seats in trains.
This step would promote paperless booking of tickets and well as reduce the crowd at the ticket booking counters.
It will also be beneficial for the e-wallet companies if railway adopt this initiative because 2-3 crore people travel per day by trains and out of this only 6% people travel with reserved seats and others travel on General tickets.
The discussions on this yojana is being conducted with the officials and very soon Railway Ministry would declare their decision.
