Rohit Sharma continued his imperious form as he became the ninth Indian to score 7000 runs in ODIs. This feat comes in Asia Cup-2018 in a match played against Pakistan on 23rd September 2018 in Dubai.
This was Rohit's third successive fifty-plus score in the Asia Cup with the sequence being 52, 83* and 111*
Rohit Sharma is also third fastest Indian to reach 7000 runs in 181 innings behind Virat Kohli (161 Runs) and Saurav Ganguly (174 Runs)
Rohit Sharma with Shikhar Dhawan also became the best opening pair around in ODI cricket and India's second-best opening pair surpassing legendary batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag opening pair.
Rohit Sharma till date, had played 181 ODI matches scoring a total of 7,017 runs having 264 runs as his highest ever score. He had also striked 610 (Four's) and 183 (Sixes).
In Asia Cup-2018 match against Pakistan, India grabbed the greatest victory by 9 wickets chasing down 238 runs target in just 39.3 overs. It was brought up by Shikhar Dhawan scoring his 15th century (114 off 100 balls/ runout) and Rohit's 19th ODI century unbeaten on 111 off 119 balls.
