The world celebrates International Day for Eradication of Poverty on 17th October 2016.
This day seeks to promote awareness to remove poverty from the World especially in developing areas.
The theme for the year 2016 is ‘Moving from Humiliation and exclusion to participation: Ending poverty in all its forms’.
It aims at removing humiliation and poverty suffered by the poor people living in poverty.
United Nations has announced 17th October to be celebrated as International Day for eradication of Poverty by passing a resolution on 22nd December 1992.
Poverty is the state or condition of having little or no money, goods or conditions of support, thereby being poor.
