Health Ministry join hands with Dell & Tata Trusts for healthcare programs

 

 

Health Ministry partners with Dell and Tata Trusts to provide the technology solution for healthcare programs: Details, Aim, Purpose, Highlights

Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on 20th September 2018, has exchanged MoUs with Tata Trusts and Dell to provide a technological platform for nationwide prevention, control, screening, and management program of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

NCD IT solution platform

NCD IT solution covers program-level data for screening, diagnosis, treatment, referral and follow-up activities of NCDs with an aim to connect health workers, doctors, and decision-makers in a single, integrated platform.

NCD IT solution provides health records for citizens, mobile applications for health workers, a web portal for medical officers and dashboards for health officials.

NCD IT solution is aimed at bringing healthcare technology transformation in Comprehensive Primary Health Care NCD program under Ayushman Bharat. Through the implementation of this IT platform, it will be possible to track health trends across the country.

NCD IT solution will help to bring quality health services at the doorstep to enable increased productivity for health workers and doctors and to facilitate monitoring of the delivery of services by state and district administrators. It is hosted on Government Data Center and managed by Centre for Health Informatics, MoHFW.

NCD screening program

NCD screening program addresses Hypertension, Diabetes, Oral, Breast and Cervical cancers.

NCD screening program covers all men and women over the age of 30 years. The program is one of the modules in Ayushman Bharat’s Comprehensive Primary Healthcare (CPHC) Initiative, currently being deployed in about 200 districts across the country.
