25th Edition of SIMBEX, Singapore-India maritime Bilateral exercise will begin
Singapore-India maritime Bilateral exercise will begin and the exercise between the two countries will continue till 21st of this month.
According to Defence Minister SIMBEX, 2018 will be the largest since 1994 in terms of scale and complexity.
SIMBEX begins off Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea.
According to Defence minister, this edition will be the silver jubilee of SIMBEX and mark the historic occasion.
This edition is equally important for both sides and maintains healthy relations between the two countries.
This edition will witness the diverse range of exercises at sea ranging from live weapon drills including multiple missile firings.
The Indian navy has undertaken with a foreign navy number of missiles and torpedo firings.
This year will also witness the highest numbers and varieties of platform fielded by both sides.
